On behalf of USA Softball of Kansas City, KC USA Umpires and the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy, we cordially invite your team to join us for the 2nd Annual High School Season Send-Off.  This inexpensive event will provide teams one last competitive opportunity for their players to hone their skills prior to the commencement of the Kansas State High School Activities Association Spring season the following Monday.  This offering will also benefit our hard working local umpires by providing postgame performance evaluations and feedback in order to prepare for the upcoming season as well as supplying financial travel assistance to them in order to attend USA Softball-sponsored National Tournaments. 

Tournament Details:

*  Registration and payment due on/before February 10, 2023 at 11:59 PM

*  Division: 16/18-Open

*  Two game format (teams will play both games on Saturday or Sunday; please specify your preference within the registration notes (Saturday, Sunday, either (the more flexibility provided, the greater the opportunity at participation)))

*  First game 9:00 AM, last game 7:00 PM

*  Pre-designated (no coin flip) "Guest/Visitor" & "Host/Home" teams with each being assigned once (read schedule as "Guest" vs "Host")

*  Sixty minute games (finish inning (unless outcome not in doubt)), six runs per half-inning limit

*  Molded plastic cleats or tennis shoes only

*  Teams to provide USA Softball certified logo (max .47 COR/275-375 lbs) red-seamed balls

Reminder: All teams must be registered with USA Softball and have at least two coaches who have completed and passed the USA Softball background check as well as SafeSport certification (NO exceptions).  Coaches need to obtain their background check via http://www.RegisterUSASoftball.com

Refund Policy: No refund if team either forfeits or plays in two games, 40% refund if team is able to play in one game.  If team is unable to get any games in, a $30 administration fee will be withheld from the refund.  No refund should team withdraw once the entry deadline has passed.
