12:00 PM Sunday Update: All games are cancelled for  the remainder of the tournament. There are no gate refunds. Teams will be refunded as needed. Please allow until Friday for refunds to be processed. 

We still have T-Shirts and some pink balls available and will be available until 12:30 PM

2:00 PM SATURDAY 9/21/24 TOURNAMENT AND WEATHER UPDATES:

I know a number of people are curious about the weather for Sunday and whether we play.
As of this writing, we are planning to play on schedule.
We have no control on how much or when it will rain tonight or Sunday.
Depending on the amount of rain and when we get it, we may have to modify some aspects of the tournament.
You will be notified if and when we have changes.
We have plans laid out to deal with these issues, if and when they occur.
Until early Sunday morning, we won't know anything.
Weather delays and tournament updates will be posted on the TournamentMVP.com tournament web page, at the top of the Pool & Brackets page, as well as on the Kansas Fastpitch Softball Facebook page.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work toward a successful tournament Sunday.

Additionally items to inform coaches and spectators about:
1. Parking will be at a premium tomorrow with 42 teams playing,  so please plan accordingly when coming tomorrow.
2. Please try to have the correct money for the gate workers as you arrive tomorrow. This will help speed the line through the entrance.  Adults 18 and Older $6.00; Ages 5-17 $2.00 (Cash only)
3. 10's on Field 1: ONLY warm up on the turf infield. NO outfield warm ups because of re-seeded grass in the outfield.


COACHES PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION LISTED BELOW:

FACILITY LOCATION: BILL BURKE PARK: 1501 E Crawford St, Salina, KS 67401

FIELD SURFACES: SALINA BURKE PARK: All fields are turf infields, grass outfield.

GAME TIMES: 10U, 12U, 14U, HS: 65 minute pool & bracket games; flip for home team every game

COACHES PAY AT THE GATE: All coaches will pay at the complex at Bill Burke as they enter. Pay reimbursement for coaches explained below.

COACHES CHECK-IN & REIMBURSEMENT: SALINA BURKE PARK: At the Shelter, next to Field 6 and north of the concession stand. One (1) coach from each team will sign in for and receive an envelope with coaches passes for 1 day for 3 coaches and $18 in cash. Only one coach from each team needs to check in. You will receive one (1) new softball per team to use at check-in on Sunday.

PLAYING SHOES: NO spiked shoes on any turf field. Turf field shoes are allowed at Bill Burke.

NO SUNFLOWER SEEDS OR GUM IS ALLOWED AT BILL BURKE PARK.

WEATHER DELAY INFORMATION: Will be posted on the TournamentMVP.com tournament web page, at the top of the Pool & Brackets page, as well as on the Kansas Fastpitch Softball Facebook page.

T-SHIRTS FOR SALE: T-Shirts will be available for sale $20@shirt; (Cash or Venmo)

CONCESSION STANDS: SALINA BURKE PARK: Will have concessions all day.

GAME BALLS: Hit your own balls. You will receive one (1) new game ball at your coaches check-in. Red-stitch ASA/USA Stamped 11" or 12" Optic Yellow .47 COR/375 Ball (No USSSA Blue-stitch balls will be used)  PINK SOFTBALLS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SALE $10/EACH

September 1, 2024 starts the new insurance and registration period for 2025. Go to RegisterUSASoftball.com to obtain new insurance, coaches background checks and do the SafeSport program for your team for the 2025 season. Go to TournamentMVP.com to set up your team for tournaments for the 2025 season.



Teams will receive 1 new 11" or 12” Dudley Thunder Heat USA Red Stitch ball at Coaches check-in. 


AWARDS: Plaques and Medals; 1st and 2nd Place teams in each division.


EFFECTIVE 9/1/24 - A player's age as of August 31 determines the age in which the player is eligible to play the following year.


COACHES BACKGROUND CHECK & SAFESPORT: 9/1/24 starts the 2025 season. All teams for 2025 must have at least 2 coaches who have passed the USA background check (passing a USSSA background check does not qualify for or replace passing a USA background check) & have completed their SafeSport certification found on RegisterUSASoftball.com - NO EXCEPTIONS!

PLAYER ROSTERS: Coaches will need to have your player roster entered and completed on TournamentMVP.com no later than the Thursday evening before the start of the tournament. This is required for each tournament you enter. NO EXCEPTIONS!


ENTRY FEE PAYMENT POLICY: Credit or debit cards only. You will be paying the tournament entry fee thru PayPal. You do not have to have a PayPal account to pay. Teams will be dropped from the tournament, if the entry fee is not paid for by the tournament entry date deadline.


TEAM TOURNAMENT DROP POLICY:  If a team drops before the registration deadline has passed, there will be a full refund. If a team  drops out after the tournament entry deadline as passed, for any reason, there will be no refund of entry fee monies, as schedules will be in play already. To qualify for a Team Drop refund or drop out of a tournament, go to your team home page on TournamentMVP.com and put in a drop request. No emails, texts or phone calls. NO EXCEPTIONS.

RAINOUT INFORMATION: Will be posted on this tournament page at the top of the Pool schedule page, as well as on the Kansas Fastpitch Softball Facebook page.

RAINOUT REFUND POLICY: If no games are played, a refund minus a $25.00 administration fee will be issued. 1 game played 50% refund; 2 or more games played, no refund.

INDIVIDUAL GATE FEE: Adults 18 and Older $6.00; Ages 5-17 $2.00

This is a USA Fastpitch Softball sanctioned event. Proof of liability & accident insurance is REQUIRED PRIOR to playing in this event. We accept USA or USSSA insurance. Teams with USA Softball liability & accident insurance are AUTOMATICALLY A REGISTERED USA team. Teams with non-USA liability & accident insurance will be required to pay a one-time-for-the-season fee of $30 to become a USA registered team for 2025. This is valid thru 8/31/2025. You will be required to provide a PDF copy of your non-USA Softball liability & accident insurance policy, along with your $30 fee, no later than by the tournament entry deadline date.
